Top
Idiospermum australiense, the Idiot Fruit or Ribbonweed, is one of the most primitive of flowering plants. It is an ever-green treen, 20-30m tall, and only occurs in a few areas of the Daintree rainforest in far north Queensland. The large nut-like seeds are poisonous.
