A Stand of Waria Waria Trees

Top
A stand of Waria Waria trees, PNG. CSIRO, in partnership with the PNG National Forest Authority, has set up stills in remote villages as part of an essential oil trial. The oil produced from the Waria Waria leaves is similar to eucalyptus oil and can be used to treat the same sorts of aliments. Fortunately trials to establish sustainable harvest techniques have determined that the key source species, if cut in the correct manner, regenerate quickly and profusely after harvesting.
