Heliostat (mirror) field at the National Solar Energy Centre

Top

The field is made up of 200 heliostats which concentrate the sun's energy on to a reactor that sits on a 26m high tower.

Peak temperatures of more than 1000 degrees Celsius reform natural gas to produce a SolarGas that contains 26% more energy.
