Sedges

Top
Sedges, Royal National Park, NSW. In coastal heathlands, members of the grass family are rare, and their place is often taken by a similar looking family - Restionaceae. Like the Proteacece, the Restionaceae is well developed in Australia and South Africa. There's also one species in South America.
