Quilling Cactoblastis cactorum eggs
TopQuilling Cactoblastis cactorum eggs for dispatch to landowners in the fight against Prickly Pear, Chincilla, Queensland, October 1927. Commonwealth Prickly Pear Board scientists introduced the larvae from the Argentinean moth Cactoblastis cactorum in 1926 and within ten years, the once-dense fields of common prickly pear lay rotting or had vanished completely.
