'Screw worm fly' is a training program intended to alert veterinarians and other health professionals to the threat of screw worm fly. It instructs them in the epidemiology and clinical signs of the disease. A video, support notes and slide set are all available for this program. Screw worm fly is a parasite of warm-blooded animals, including humans. This fly may strike any areas of the body that are not covered by intact skin or mucous membranes. This image shows adult screw worm flies.
