Avian influenza in the brain of a chicken embryo
TopAvian influenza is a highly lethal viral disease of birds. In some cases, the disease can be spread to humans. This slide shows the H5N1 strain of avian influenza in the brain of a chicken embryo. The virus is indicated by the red stain.
