CSIRO develops highest yielding salt tolerant wheat

A field of salt tolerant durum wheat grown in northern New South Wales as part of a CSIRO field trial Breakthrough CSIRO research will enable wheat farmers operating in salt-affected areas to achieve higher yields of durum wheat which is favoured for its superior pasta making qualities.
