Cyathea australis, the Rough Tree Fern

Top
Rough Tree Fern (Cyathea australis), Mt. Wilson, NSW. This hardy tree-fern extends beyond the limits of the fern gullies into mountain forests and is fire-resistant. After a bush fire has been through the forest it produces new fronds, appearing as luxuriant as ever after a space as short as six months.
