Vanessa itea, Australian Admiral or Yellow Admiral. Family: Nymphalidae. The larvae of this species feed at night on stinging nettles. During the day they are found in a curled leaf or in a loosely formed shelter on the plant formed by joining a couple of leaves with a few strands of silk.
