The CASTfill spout wheel
TopTechnology developed by CSIRO scientists in collaboration with o.d.t. Engineering and Rio Tinto Alcan (RTA) through the CAST CRC is helping boost global sales of Australian ingot casting machines.
After an approach from o.d.t, CSIRO researchers came up with innovations that increased ingot casting productivity and ingot quality by speeding up the aluminium solidication process and reducing dross generated during mould filling.
