Coal sample
TopGas production from coal seam reservoirs is complex due to the unique properties of coal. CSIRO integrates laboratory experimentation and novel numerical modelling to improve the management of gas production and drainage from coal seams.
CSIRO applies expertise in reservoir processes and carbon dioxide storage and have developed a number of simulation tools to optimise the planning of gas production.
